What is happening in Yemen?
Yemen is on the brink of famine.
14.1 million are at risk of starvation, equivalent to the combined population of London, Birmingham and Glasgow.
Yemen needs our attention.
The UN has described Yemen as the “Worlds worst humanitarian crisis”
21.2 million people require urgent humanitarian assistance. 9.9 million of whom are children.
A child dies every 10 minutes from malnutrition or disease.
Ummah Welfare Trust has launched an emergency appeal for suffering families in Yemen, the land of faith and wisdom. Through local partners, the charity is delivering emergency assistance to displaced and hungry families in Sana’a, Ibb, Dhamar and Sa’ada.
Women and children in Yemen today are displaced and hungry. It is our duty to come to their aid and support them with that which Allah has granted us.
